My name is Chili. The Staff at my Animal Hospital gave me this name as they thought my color reminded them of a Red Hot Chili Pepper. Well, I am not like I used to be .... I almost starved. My Doctor told me I was in advanced starvation. No food plus fleas and something they called "tapes" had taken over my life. I lost almost all my beautiful coat. All my bones stuck out and I was so weak I could not walk anymore.
~ I was ready to die. ~ But my life took a turn for the better when a really nice lady and her daughter found me. See, I had been on my own in a forest on a mountain for ever so long... I can't even remember when I had a nice clean bed or a dish of real dog food, it has been so long. My blood platelets were so low I had to get some more new blood. Thank goodness for this sweet Pit Bull as he was happy to give me some of his! Today I can stand... but am still very weak. I am still in the dogie hospital. Foster mom tells me I am on the road to recovery, but not out of the woods just yet. I wish I could know what human speak means... but I think it means I am better.
If you think you could help a little bit with my hospital bill... I sure would appreciate it.

I just wanted to let all my friends know, that I am getting better. Thank you for all your help. I am still suffering from the ehrlichia effects, but have gained weight - about 2 lbs now. I am more than half way through the meds -- so far it is working.
AOUWee! My FM (foster mom) gave me a bath! Now I have to figure out how to get smelling like a dog again......
